CSUN Hillel Alumni and where they are now... 

Doug has been running his own advertising agency, Malibu Marketing, since 1997, when he left a string of broadcasting and television marketing jobs dating to KTLA in 1976.  Married with two sons, Doug has been active with Hillel in one form or another since he first stepped into Hillel at CSUN in September, 1974.  Most recently, he filled in on a part time basis as Interim Director until Hillel's current director was hired in April, 2001.  Doug is enthusiastic about the support a strong Hillel Alumni Association can provide to the current Hillel program.

After graduating CSUN, this former CSUN Hillel President, decided to continue his involvement in the Jewish community.  He went on to take part in a Double Master's Program, receiving a Master's in Jewish Communal Service at Hebrew Union College, and a Master's in Public Administration at USC.  For his first job out of school he is currently working at Stephen S.Wise Temple as the Assistant Executive Director.  He is happily living in the San Fernando Valley.

Todd and Monica met at Hillel September 14, 1988. In November '92 got married. Sept. '93 bought a house. July '95, son Alex was born, Jan '99 daughter Amanda was born.  Todd, in addition to being a dad, works as a computer/video coordinator for feature films and TV, as well as running full-time mom, is studying for her tests for her MFCC license, and in her "free" time, is working on her children's hat and accessories business.

Even though he was not a Hillel regular, Lloyd graduated from San Fernando Valley State University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration for Accounting, with a minor in Insurance. Currently, Lloyd is President of Ross Witeby Insuance Company, which insures large corporate accounts and acts as their risk manager evaluating their exposures to risk.  He still lives in Northridge with his three sons.

Currently, Michele is an Administrative Consultant specializing in Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401 (k) Plan.  She is a member of the ESOP Association Administrative Advisory Committee and speaks and writes on the subject frequently.

Doug is married to Heather, whom he met at CSUN Hillel. Teaching at Van Nuys High School. Acting. Sold his first script to E! Enteratainment Television -- "Romantic Comedy 101" -- will be on this fall.

Heather has worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation for 6 1/2 years and married Doug last year, who she met through CSUN Hillel.

Michael Bierman moved to San Jose, California Soon after graduation from Northridge. He is now living with his girlfriend Laurie in San Jose, California in a happy home together since 1998. Michael currently works at Adobe Systems as a Senior Product MAnager for Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG). In the past he has worked at Sun Microsystems, Globetrotter Software, and Mentor Graphics. Born in Colorado, raised in the Bay Area, Laurie is a devoted third grade teacher. Michael and Laurie met through a Jewish Singles group--sort of a Hillel for young professionals.

Christy graduated CSUN in 1992 and currently works at Aetna US Healthcare doing customer service for the dental unit. She also has her own pet sitting business called, "Christy's Pet Care," and has been in the pet sitting business for about 4 years now.

Steve graduated in 1993 with a BS in Business Administration - MIS, and currently is a Marketing Administrator and freelance Computer Consultant Happily Married to his wife: Kimberly.

After graduating CSUN in the Winter of 1997, I started working at an investment firm in Century City and I have been there for over three years. I have just recently gotten engaged about three months ago.  We will be getting married next summer.  We currently live in Sherman Oaks and soon will be building our dream house on top of the hill.

After graduating from CSUN in 1994 went to the Double Masters program at Hebrew Union College and USC earning Masters Degrees in Jewish Communal Service and Social Work in 1999.  Happily married to wife Suzy since 1998 and living in Sherman Oaks.  Worked for San Diego State Hillel following graduation from graduate school and is currently working at Adat Ari El as their Program/Youth Director, but is looking for bigger and better things.
